We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Dean Stevely has agreed to return to the club as our Youth Development Officer.

Dean is one of the most experienced and qualified coaches on the Fylde Coast and he will be taking our youngest age group (ages 4-6) on Saturday mornings – teaching their ABC’s and learning how to play with others in a supportive and fun environment. The Youth Development sessions will continue each week, and Dean will be at his first session on 29th June.

Dean was with the club until 2015 and is very excited to return. He went on to help out his sons team at Squires Gate. He has experience at managing Myerscough Girls teams, Preston North End WJFC for 4 years until U16 and has most recently been involved with the Chorley FC Womens team. Dean is also a registered scout for Preston North End’s Pre-Academy and Foundation Phases.

Dean holds a UEFA B Licence with Youth Mods 1,2,3 and goalkeeping and Futsal qualifications. Importantly he’s also an FA registered adult mentor which will be crucial to the role for sourcing and developing coaches to take the new teams at U7.

Dean won the club’s Alf Hearsum Award for outstanding services to the club in 2012/13.

We would like to record our thanks to Dave W, Neil B, Dom and Becky for their time and commitment to YD over the past few years and good luck with next season’s U8’s (and Becky all the best with U10’s) and a thanks to Adam, Brett and Kev who have helped out with the U7’s. We would also like to thank Derek and Nigel for helping us out recently with their unique brand of fun football games and ensuring we could keep the sessions running.

We would also give a special mention to the parents for sticking with us through this period of change.
